Novum Membranes was engaged to fabricate and supply a full ETFE Air‑Filled Pillow (AFP) rooflight system supported on steelwork provided by others. The rooflight comprises 30 ETFE pillows with integrated perimeter flashings and covers an area of approximately 928 sq m.
Novum’s AFP system utilises aluminium extrusion profiles with an internal drainage channel, ensuring controlled water management and long‑term performance. Each pillow is 3 layers of clear ETFE film, delivering high translucency, durability, and minimal maintenance requirements. The specified print is a 16 mm high‑density dot matrix providing 50% coverage, designed to moderate solar gain while maintaining excellent daylight transmission.
